Biography

I started playing guitar at the age of 15 in 1978, and within six months I was playing in my first band—and we were already gigging! I learned a tremendous amount from musicians around me, especially my Uncle Bob, an outstanding lead guitarist in Los Angeles. I also got quite an education from the other guys in my band who were more experienced than I was. Playing with better musicians pushed me to learn quickly!

Over the years, I've played in many different bands, performing everything from our own original music to popular cover songs. I've always loved a wide variety of music, so playing different styles comes naturally to me. Classic rock is at the heart of what I do, but I also love performing oldies, blues, reggae, and country. For me, a great song is a great song, regardless of the genre.

Today's technology has made it possible for me to take everything I've learned from years of playing in bands and bring it together as a One Man Band. Using live guitar and vocals along with professionally produced backing tracks allows me to create the sound and energy of a full band—all by myself! 

The great thing is that I can still control the volume to fit the occasion. I can create a full-band sound at the same comfortable volume level as a solo acoustic performance when needed. And as an added bonus for smaller venues and events, I take up a lot less space!

After all these years, I still love playing guitar, performing for people, and sharing the music that has been such a big part of my life.
